I have watched a forum member (who does not even support D'Addario or buy their products)  make this into his public platform to discredit, and insult one forum member after another. There is very little discussion on this members part about music but instead it is all personal life issues .

Many like myself (after tonight), do not even come into this forum anymore. He has insulted D'Addario openly in here. This  after the company which I support (with no benefits to me, and that's not  problem with me) so graciously sent items to help with a benefit show I was part of.

When this person did not get a response from the Admin some months ago there was another tyraid of insults hurled and directed at him and D'Addario stings.

Rather than continue to have the whole forum affected by this I have decided to leave, because I have never been one to sit by idly and watch friends (including D'Addario) get insulted and keep my mouth shut.

I always thought this was a forum where musicians got together to discuss a company and their products first, share our love for music, and help one another where it relates to music and all aspects of it. Apparently that is not so, and anyone can judge that just by looking at the overall topics in the GUITAR TALK section of this forum.

To those that I have made friends we will remain friends and I will be in contact. I harbor no ill feelings towards anyone, but this forum has turned into a daily soap opera.  Instead of new members joining and it regaining strength it has been on a downward spiral for a while now and recent posts have I am sure only contributed to that.

There is no place for personal attacks on these forums.  We're all musicans and lovers of music, and should come here to share information, stories, opinions, good laughs, and hopefully build some "cyber" friendships along the way (knowing some of you actually get together as friends too).

It a shame that you guys are now feuding.  I thought you had a nice friendship forged through the forum, and it's sad to see that thrown away.  I don't know the story, nor do I care to know about it, but this place should be an escape.  An escape from whatever troubles or pain are in your life, not a place to come to get worked up, pissed off, and full of heartburn!

Bill - It would be a shame to lose you from this forum.  Your insight into gear and music in general would be sorely missed, and I think your commitment to music as the guiding force in your life inspires many here to keep playing and practicing!  I personally hope you will change your mind.

Chuck- You like Bill have been a fixture at this forum for years.  Some feel your allegiance to competitive products don't belong here.  Surprisingly I personally do not have a problem with you expressing your preference, as this place has always been about open discussion.  That said, as owners of the board we will surely discuss/promote our new products here, and certainly see this as beneficial to our brands' growth and presence around the world.  I want to make that clear, and hope all can respect that from both sides.

It seems that you are going through a lot these days, and I truly wish you strength and positivity during these difficult times.  Perhaps you should keep it light as far of the forum is concerned.  Try to take the weight off, and forget about difficulty life is dealing at the moment.  I know that isn't easy, but perhaps it's worth a try.  If nothing else, music is a great escape!

I do not want to get involved any further here, and would like us to move forward.  Let's drop this now.  I'll delete as many related threads/posts to this "argument" as possible, as they only perpetuate negativity and bickering. 

All - please refrain from further posts related to this "disagreement," and let's move on with discussion among friends about music, gear, and other fun light-hearted topics!  Thanks for listening.
