Matt,

still having problems with edit/delete feature in first post in a thread. When you try to either edit or delete it goes to a new screen prompting you to log in (even if you already are) and does not let you use either feature (edit/delete)

Here is an example that happened to me:

Bill,

I think it is set up that way because if you delete the first post of a thread it deletes the entire thread.  It's one thing if you want to rr-post as in your example, but if there were several posts after the original it would delete all of those as well.  Make sense?  You should be able to edit your original post completely though.  Let me know if this is still a major pain.  Thanks.

Matt

Matt,

No it won't allow you to edit the first post, I just tried again, using the same post I had given you as an example and it just prompts me to log in (even though I am logged in) then says:

  The following error occurred...

Weird!  I checked into it and all "Forum Members" have the permission to edit posts.  I will see what our web gurus can figure out.  Thanks.

What is up with the orum software??????  It is back to requesting you to log in when you go from one thread to another to post. It's not just when I'm logged on with AOL, it is with the Internet as well.

Very frustrating to say the least.

I was able to edit one of my posts just now, but it was a later post in a thread.  I still can't edit my post if it's the first post in a thread, a.k.a the post that begins the thread.

Sorry I was out on biz last week into early this week.  I was in Tacoma WA attending the Wintergrass Bluegrass festival.  Some pretty cool music and great musicians.  I got to break away from the bluegrass and check our some ripping blues played by Robben Ford.  He had a killer band (other guitarist was just as good on a Tele)

Anyway, I have reported this to our team and they didn't get a chance to follow it up while I was away.  I spoke with them today, and they will get on it ASAP.  I'm sorry for the frustration.  It is really ANNOYING!  Thanks for your patience.  I can;t imagine it's something that will be difficult to fix.

Matt
