| | I just got done watching the end of a documentary on Robert Moog, and this dude rocked! | Yeah, I haven't seen the moog documentary yet, but if you've got netflix, I believe it's on there. That said, I don't think they still do theremin kits, but I definitely agree, it's a cool instrument. I can't remember which album it's on, but Brian Wilson definitely went through a prolonged fascination with the theremin as an instrument, I can't remember when that was (i.e. pre/post Pet Sounds/lying in bed for a year).

| | I only remember Brian Wilson using it in "Good Vibrations." Of course, that was all before my time, anyway. Theremin kits are still available here and there. However, the plethora of schematics offered at that last link are excellent! The tube Theremins look the best, and I assume that any modern-day kits would be completely transistor. It would be a blast to hybrid Theremin circuitry with the circuitry of a tube amp for some attitude! Even making it so a guitar could be plugged in, allowing a switch to turn on the Theremin circuit for pitch modulation of the guitar, would ROCK! I have no idea how someone could play a guitar while operating the Theremin, though.
