| | Anyone out there using a Godin Multiac ACS Nylon with some Extra Hard Tension strings? I want to get the lowest action possible with nylon strings on my ACS and I was told that extra hard tension strings such as the D'Addario Pro Arte Composites or EXP Extra Hard Tension would help achive this. Comments anyone??? NDEE |

| Although I haven't used this product, the idea does make sense. With lower action, you'll be more likely to run into problems with strings buzzing against the frets/fretboard. Selecting higher-tension strings will keep the strings vibrating in a more-controlled manner, making them less likely to buzz. I've used higher-tension strings with my instruments to correct buzz problems, and it works great! The only noticable change in tone is that you'll get less sustain and a bit more volume.

| Dulcimerist (4/30/2007) Although I haven't used this product, the idea does make sense. With lower action, you'll be more likely to run into problems with strings buzzing against the frets/fretboard.That's what I'm thinking too. I haven't tried it yet but I'm wondering if some of you have tried it especialy on a Godin ACS nylon. The ACS is a hard body electric guitar with nylon strings and piezo saddles and the neck is somewhere between an electric guitar and a classical guitar neck. NDEE |
