I recently switched from Vandoren Traditional reeds to Rico Reserve reeds for legit alto saxophone. The Rico reeds offer greater color and greater resonance. The Vandoren reeds can be pushed harder in achieving ff and fff; however, the Rico Reserve reeds enhance my tone and more easily play pp and ppp. As a result, I find the Rico Reserve reeds more conducive to classical saxophone repertoire.

Rico owns Giant Reed plantations in both Argentina and France. Where is the arundo donax for Reserve reeds grown?

Does Rico import arundo donax from plantations outside of Argentina and France?

Does Rico operate any Giant Reed plantations within the United States?

Does Rico offer tours of its US and international facilities?
