They are great! I love them...Most people do that I talk to.

They are of 1000000000% better quality and cane, sound etc. than Rico or Reeds Australia.

My experience exactly. The first reed I tried was fantastic except the tip collapsed over the space of an hour's playing, just broke up in my mouth but it still played. Unfortunately that was pretty well the last one that did.

webfted (7/14/2005)

these reeds ya'll sent me as a "replacement" were just as AWFULL as the ones I bought. I still won't reccomend them to anyone.

Did you ever consider that either A) The back of the reed is warped or B) The table on your mouthpiece is uneven??  One thing I usually have to do a lot to any reed is sand the back of the reed that lays against the table.  I just set 400 grit wet/dry paper on something flat and rub the reed on top, and it does wonders.

Perhaps it all depends on your climate. He said he was used to playing in extremely humid places which affects the tone and the longevity of the reed. personal preference also has something to do with it. You may not want to take someone elses word for it unless you have the same conditions.

Hi everybody,

I must say that I'm not for the Marca reeds too. I bought a box and no reed was good playing.

The RICO reeds are not bad for that money , even if in each box of 10 you have 2 or 3 unplayble reeds. It's the same with the Vandoren.

For me the best reeds are the Alexander Superial. Since I use them I must admit that I never had 1 reed which was unplayable or needed to be adjusted. Chance or quality ?

Don't know. But I was lucky either in alto and tenor sax.
