| | There are no plans at the moment, but I will pass on your suggestion to Product Development. Unfortunately we need to limit the amount of sets offered to sets that will be relatively popular and worth the expense to create new packaging, manufacturering specs, etc. The Chromes and Half Rounds may work, but they are certainly less common than our XL Round Wounds. It doesn't hurt asking! I will mention it to them, and see where it goes from there. Thanks! |

| Thanks! I wish that there was at least a .105 in the light set instead of a .100 string. Hopefully more people will get addicted to Chromes so that there's more of a market for custom sets. This thread kept logging me out.

| | Have any bass players out there bought single strings to create their custom sets? If so, does this usually end up costing considerably more than simply buying an actual store-bought "set" of bass strings? Of the "light" set of strings on my four-string electric bass, the two highest strings feel perfect tension-wise. However, the lowest two strings feel a bit loose and flop around with a bit of a buzz. I'm assuming that I need a "light" top and "medium" bottom custom set, and would have to buy individual strings to do so. (I want to stick with Chromes or Half Rounds.) Does anyone know how expensive this might get? Thanks!
