I have the Humidity Control Kit. It includes the HTS and humidifier that hangs between the strings. The HTS is resting in the guitar case under the neck. I also have a dampit and a sponge in a plastic bag lying in the space where the headstock is. The highest humidity reading I get is 35%. Any suggestions?

Do you live in a very dry location?  Take the humidity sensor into the bathroom with you the next time you take a shower.  (Just don't put it inside the shower with you.)  See if the humidity sensor will detect the high humidity of the bathroom during that time.  If it doesn't, then you'll know that the sensor isn't detecting humidity correctly.
