I have written to to other string manufacturers about a string I am developing that will make an ABG (Acoustic Bass Guitar) loud enough to compete with a six string guitar but none of them are interested.

This string would be easy to manufacture.

I would like to speak with a string company about this.

If Daddario is interested I will tell them how to manufacture this string using the same machinery they use for conventional strings. This will be the hottest selling ABG string ever.

One more thing. It astounds me that no one is interested in a string that will revolutionize the ABG.

Why are corporate types so obtuse? If you make this string (You would be stupid not to) and sell it all I ask is that you donate a small % of sales to a 501 C (3) that is a support and advocacy group for brain injury victims.

Why wouldn't you want a string that would allow a ABG to compete with most six strings?

The fact is most of the stuff that is sold to musicians is gimmicky crap. A better string is something we could really use. As it stand now ABG strings are not very good.

That sounds like a sweet idea!  You could try contacting D'Addario:

Most times, there are legal hurdles involved in submitting product ideas to companies, which might be the case here.  If you could design the string and obtain a patent for it, you'd be in much better shape for getting your idea picked up by a string manufacturer.
