| | Is there a difference? Planet Waves sells a 3 wire and a 5 wire. Both RCA connections. I need it for connecting to a Television. The TV has the Y, Pr, Pb and then left and right audio. The 3 wire cable has the red, blue and green cables. The 5 wire has a red, blue, green, yellow and white cables. I tried hooking up the green to green, blue to blue, red to red, white to white (audio) and yellow to red (audio) but the TV screen only shows up with limited reds and greens in color with the rest black and white. I then switched the yellow and red and I got the same thing. Any suggestions? Are all five cables for video only? Help please. None of the manufactures of the cables respond. |

| This question should go into the Installer Talk section here: http://www.daddario.com/Discuss/Forum30-1.aspxThis forum is to post problems with the forum itself. Of course, this can get confusing, since there four separate "Forum Help" forums. Yet another reason for D'Addario to reorganize the forums, as mentioned in this thread: http://www.daddario.com/Discuss/Topic33828-20-1.aspx

| | The red is for the right or red audio the white is for the left or white audio the yellow, blue and green are for video If you are hooking up a HD receiver, you need the 5 wire and connect the cables at tv and HD receiver with the same color jacks, red to red, white to white, blue to blue, green to green and yellow to yellow. If your jacks are not color coded Red to right audio in White to left audio in Y to y Pr to Pr Pb to Pb to view HD, You will need to select on your tv the cooresponding source you are using, video 1, 2, etc. |
