Oh!  That's the reference!  I remember the whole Paul is dead thing, but never knew the alter ego's name.  It all happened ten years before I was born!

Did you like my lame joke?  Shears / Snippy?  LOL

yeh.......

that was a batio thing.....but this video link is placed at a wrong place cuz everybody is ****ing the shread here......

it's not that i am a big shread fan (or MAB fan). whatever..... it sounds good to me.

it is boring to put shread everywhere in a solo but putting the right place is the thing that can make a solo rich.
soloing style changes with generations. discourage to shread is like u don't want to encourage some new ideas. Past legends were great but present guitarists are not that bad.

keep making ur mind broader.........

thanks

Personally I love shredding, I have entire playlists devoted to Malmsteen, Satriani, Vai etc. However, I do agree with the point that music should have soul. But I believe that Malmsteen especially does have soul in his music. Anyone can sit down and practice and learn to shred even if they can't write decent music, but he wrote well as well. He just wants to show of his ability, and whats wrong with that?

Ben

Musical ability comes from practice, but the ability to be a great musician comes from within.
