This is more a rant than a topic but does anyone know WHY when ive worked in another state other than the state i reside in they STILL want to dig in your pockets!. I just sent in 150.00 (additional) dollars because my employer hadnt been taking out quite enough from my residing state. Do they feel that i somehow owe them my living for one reason or another?. Every now and then ill watch the senate meetings on CNN and it enrages me that these power hungry wanna be screw ups have any control whatsoever in the lives of Americans. SO...we had a chance at individual freedoms with a couple of presidential candidates but as it is and may forever be we blew it. Whoever sits in office i hope the voters suck it up when they are disappointed 6 months down the line with their decision.

There are members here that are fairly politcally savvy, ive always thought of the Evans forum as thee place to go if you have such rants or concerns. Every forum has its own vibe and i dig the Evans forum for the same reason Ivan. Some forums are tad to nicey nice, dont raise your voice or cause a disturbance. Evans has always been the place where if you want to throw a punch alls ya gots to do is just get in the cage and see what youve got.

I honestly don't mind paying state taxes. State taxes give you state parks, education (which my state is second to last in) and roads. The way i see it, we need to be paying more moneys to the govenment, so they can give us more.

You could always move to a tax-free state.  There are several among our 50 that either have no sales tax or no income tax.  One or two even lack both.

Or become an ex-pat.  Move to Canada.  Or Singapore.
