I am with you Chuck, most of my guitars are Gibsons. 1971 Les Paul, 2001 Les Paul Special, 2006 WM 45.

Sold my Guild 12 String. I do love old Guild acoustics.

Although I don't play guitar (well, I play one horribly), I guess I can chime in:

I've long been a fan of Fender basses, but somehow I gravitate toward Gibson guitars.  Gibsons were (and I think still are) made right here in my state, and I'm proud of that!  I do still like Fender guitars a bit, too, though.  If I were to play metal, I would choose Ibanez.

Currently I am playing a 1996 Gibson Blueshawk with P-90s.  6 1/2 pounds of kick *** tone.

Otherwise I play my 3 Chafin Customs while I await the newest one being built. I also play my 6 Fender Strats, for acoustic it's my 1954 Harmony Montery Jazz top
