| yeah gibson is my pick ,hell got my 74lp delux too,ed on my arm ,so who say;s you can not take it with ya when ya die ,,,,, ........lol ,,,,plus have 2004 sg which i can not put down ,,,just had my 74lp reworked ,new frett job ,,new tail ,,plays as good as it did back in the 70;s . allshe needs now is new paint job and she will be like new ............got a few flat tops as well ,,,ibanez which i have had few years now ,,,fisherman pick up in it ,,nice sastain for a cheap axe ,but for the bang for the buck i love it ........got a hondo want a be strad that my son got for 2 bucks in good will store ,,put 80 bucks in it plays nice but is real heavy like my lp ..maple neck ,which i;m not as happy with as a rosewood ,but it works and plays alright ...other then that had few more want a be;s as i call them but raffled them away at uplink gigs i have done over the years for our vets to help with phone cards so they can call home .........well thanks harry good to hear from ya ,and even better that your on the same page as me with the gibsons .......big hell yeah from this ole hippie lp57

| | Although I don't play guitar (well, I play one horribly), I guess I can chime in: I've long been a fan of Fender basses, but somehow I gravitate toward Gibson guitars. Gibsons were (and I think still are) made right here in my state, and I'm proud of that! I do still like Fender guitars a bit, too, though. If I were to play metal, I would choose Ibanez.

| | Currently I am playing a 1996 Gibson Blueshawk with P-90s. 6 1/2 pounds of kick *** tone. Otherwise I play my 3 Chafin Customs while I await the newest one being built. I also play my 6 Fender Strats, for acoustic it's my 1954 Harmony Montery Jazz top
