| hey just thought i;d share with ya all about friday night ,been trying to hook up with my old bud from years back i use to jam with .so long story short .we met up at our watering hole here in delaware,the good old v f w club ....well took my flat top up there to do little playing...was dam good time   ...hell some of the old timers up there never heard me play befor .they were beside them self ....lol befor you know it me and my long time bud billy ray ,,,, we were taken turns doing old tunes from way back .befor ya know it people were comming up to table asking us to play this play that ,,,bringing us brews ,,,shots ./was dam good time ..hell must of done 2 hour set or more ....now the kicker was,,,,they asked if we could do it every friday night ....and most of those old timers up there get little pissed off when juke box is on ,,,,,,go figure .....lol....but we played what they wanted to hear ,plus few they didn;t want to hear .and all in all was a blast .......no pa ,no drums ...just in your face raw ,as we would say ...balls to the wall unpluged......hell even had some sing alongs as well......plus had a hell of a buzz when i left ......any hey just to let you know that you do not need a band to have a good sound ,or good time playing out ......and let me say this .not only did i knock off the dust on my flat top .but those figers are peeling as we speak.....lol.....lp57

| OLIMPASS,,,,,YEAH ,BIG HELL YEAH ON THE DRINKS..LOL.WAS NOT THERE TO GET PAID  ,JUST WANTED TO JAM LITTLE FEEL OUT THE CROWD .THOSE OLD VETS IN THERE DO NOT LIKE THE LOUD STUFF....WAS ENJOYING FOR EVERY ONE THERE .....AND THE DRINKS JUST KEPT COMMING....HELL STAYED THERE ABOUT 3 ,4 ,HOURS ..PLUS IT IS GOOD FOR THE FINGERS ,THE SOUL ,,,AND THE FACT THAT YOU CAN PULL OFF A JAM THINGY AT ANY TIME ...THANKS FOR YOUR REPLY

| well now just little up date.........played last night at the club.....this time placed was packed,,well the bar were full .any hey had few of my buds show up was cool thing ..hell made 20 bucks in tips ,,from one guy who kept asking me to play some of his tunes he liked ,,few i had to wing it ,and others i knew,,,,,plus did not pay for drinks at all......this time played little longer till about 9 happy hour is from 5 till 7 went way past that....plus had alot of other axe;s as well .one buddy brought about 4 of them .12 string ,2, 6 strings and a bass ///had this nice martin ,was so sweet.......any hey was good time for all .....they did not want me to leave ,start yelling free bird ,was so freaking funny.......so with that said .....life is to short to let an easy gig go by ............but next time i;m bringing my little pa .my voice is shot from trying to carry it across the bar....till next time ,,dust off those old flat tops and play it like ya mean it ,,from the heart .the soul ....plus those fingers are peeling once again ........lol lp57 ps and next time i will do free bird just to leave them knowing it can be done unpluged ......

| well took the pa last time,2 fridays ago ,just me and bud of mine skip .man was way cool again .alot better far as the singing went ,,nice not have to strain the pipes as much ....some one put tip jar out on the bar .about 20 bucks for each of us ,plus alot of free drinks ,,,shots ect..had them up dancen as well on few tunes .was good time ,did not go last night and the people at the bar was calling the house asking why i was not there ..........lol.,,,,,go figure......lol.,,,,,but nice that they called ask why i was not there ,almost feel like a want a be rock star...lol.,,,,,any hey ,any of you out there want to come over and join in ,,,,, stop on by ..door will always be open ......and hey it is not so much that ya need a band ,just the need to keep on playing no matter what ....yeah i;m still tying to get the band thing going ,but like pulling teeth at times with all the guys ...there jobs ,trying to find time just to get together .but we still do it when we can ,cause got to pay the bills ....lol....and trust me been there done that on money from playing ,would not pay my bills ..but the free drinks are cool .plus the people ya meet ..priceless......lp57

| UPDATE....ANOTHER FRIDAY HAS PASTED ,STILL PLAYING THIS UNPLUGED GIG AT OUR GOOD OLD V F W CLUB ...SEEMS WE DO HAVE SOME PEOPLE LOOKING FOWARD TO US PLAYING THERE ,HOOKED UP WITH A NEW PLAYER ,FIT RIGHT IN WITH US OLD TIMERS..AND DAM GOOD PLAYER .PLUS BACK UP ON THE SINGING AS WELL.SO SEEMS WE WILL MOVE TO SATURDAYS NOW ,HAVE OTHER THINGS GOING ON ON FRIDAYS AT THE CLUB .BUT NO BIG DEAL ,,,SATURDAYS ARE BETTER CROWD ....YEAH WORD TO MOUTH GOT OUT ABOUT US PLAYING THERE ,JUST TRYING TO GET MORE PEOPLE TO GO TO THE CLUB,SEEMS THAT NOT MANY MEMBERS ARE RETURNING FOR SOME REASON ...SO ANOTHER OLD BUD OF MINE WHO USE TO HAVE A BAR THAT WAS KIND OF MY 2ND HOME SORT OF SPEAK ASKED ME AND FEW GUYS TO PLAY AT HIS NEW BAR HE WILL OPEN SOON SOME TIME NEXT YEAR ,ME AND THIS GUY GO WAY BACK 20 YEARS OR MORE ,HE WAS THE ONE WHO HELP MY BAND GET OUT THERE,,, BACK IN THE 90,S .PLUS AT THE RIVER FRONT HERE IN OUR LITTLE STATE OF DEL ....UP TOWN ,,,NOT LIKE HIS LAST PLACE HE HAD IN WILMINGTON...WAS A DIVE ,HOLE IN THE WALL BAR HELD 75 PEOPLE....SO WE WILL SEE...BUT HE DID SAY IT WILL BE 5 TIMES BIGER THEN HIS LAST BAR ,SO GOOD THING ALL AROUND ...BUT TIME WILL TELL.....ANY HEY NOW GOT ANOTHER GIG TO DO BESIDES TRYING TO GET MY OLD BAND BACK AND OUT PLAYING ....PLUS COOL THING ABOUT THIS UNPLUGED GIG IS EASY LOADING ,,UNLOADING .AND NO ONE TRYING TO GET TIME OFF FROM WORK ,ECT ....OUR BAND NOW 2 GUYS WORK LONG HOURS ,WEEK ENDS ECT ,SO VERY HARD TO GET US ALL PLAYING .BUT NEED A PLAN B AND SEEMS IT IS IN PLAY .....HELL YEH ...PLUS IT IS MORE JUST LIKE A OPEN MIKE THINGY .GET UP PLAY ,JAM ,ECT ,,,,GOOD TIMES ,AND DID I SAY DRINKS ARE FREE.......LOL...YEAH MONEY THING IS NOT GOOD ,BUT HOW MANY OF US CAN SAY WE MAKE A LIVEN OFF OF PLAYING OUT ????????????????WITH THAT SAID ,,,,HOPE YA ALL OUT THERE KEEP ON PICKING ,PLAYING .JAMEN ECT ...NO MATTER WHAT JUST DO IT////////YOU DON;T ALWAYS GET WHAT YOU WANT ,THERE ARE TIMES YA JUST GET WHAT YA NEED......MUSIC,GOOD DRINK ,GOOD TIMES ,AND JUST PLAYING OUT NO MATTER HOW MUCH MONEY YOU MAKE ...YA SEE IN ALL THE YEARS THIS OLD HIPPIE HAS BEEN PLAYING OUT ,,,WHEN YA STOP HAVEN FUN ,THEN IT ALL JUST SEEMS TO A FALL APART .OR OTHERS WOULD SAY NOT WORTH MY TIME ,,OR NOT MAKEN VERY MUCH MONEY AT IT ,OR WHY SHOULD I GO TO ALL THE TROUBLE DOING IT FOR NOTHING,,BUT THE KICKER OF IT ALL TO ME IS ,,,,THE LOVE ,THE WANT ,THE NEED ,BEST DRUG AROUND .........MY WORDS I HAVE LIVED BY FOR SO MANY YEARS ,AND YEAH THERE ARE BETTER BANDS ,BETTER PLAYERS ,BUT ARE THEY IN A BAND???????ARE THEY OUT PLAYING ?????? OR ARE THEY JUST STILL SAYING I;M BETTER THE THEY ARE ????????AND YET THSES ARE SOME OF GUYS WHO STILL HAVE SO MUCH TALENT ,,BUT YET THEY ARE STILL JUST SITTING AROUND WAITING FOR SOME THING TO HAPPEN ..ALL THIS PLUS ALOT MORE TO GIVE ,YET TO THEM IT IS NOT WORTH IT FOR THEM TO GET UP OFF THERE *** ,AND JUST PLAY ,ENJOY ,HAVE FUN ....F THE MONEY THING.....WE ARE NOT SOME BIG ROCK STAR WHO IS OUT THERE FOR THE BIG BUCKS ,WE ARE AND I SPEAK FOR MYSELF JUST YOUR RUN AROUND MILL OLD JOE WHO HAS SOME TALENT THEY WOULD LOVE TO SHARE WITH OTHERS IF THEY LET THEM .....SO NO FLAMEWARS HERE GUYS ,,,JUST MY WAY OF THINKING ....TO SOME MAY BE WRONG TO OTHERS HOPE TO KNOW THAT HELL YEAH I;LL GET OUT AND JAM WITH YA ,JUST NAME PLACE TIME .....LP57

| | Hey LP57, seems you guys are having alot of fun and good luck with the new possible band. Maybe youz guys'll be opening at the new bigger club. I think the reason why some of the members didn't show now is because when you first posted about the vfw it was a couple days before Veterans Day and that's maybe why there was a bigger crowd there at that time. |

| olimpass,,,,good point there dude,but seems alot of other things are going on at the club now as well........see we are some what close at this bar ,everybody knows each other very well,always glad to see ya,but there are few pain in the ***.s as well.ya know the real old vets who do not want change,or young things going on when they are trying to cap there boren day with few belts of there brew or ,shots ,,ect.......plus we have new mens aux pres....which dose not care to much for me or few others that have been there 20 years or more.....but all in all we do bring crowd in when we play ,they stay longer ,spend more money ,have good time ....thing is ,,,they are losen members for one reason or another,,,just trying to help out by getting people there .any how ,,,,yeah trying to get something going with these other guys ,and hey it is fun ,,,,,,,,,,no bitching ,no one asking for more money ,or to far to go for nothing ....me i;m diging it ,nothing better then live in your face sort of speak ,ya mess up on anything ,music,,, singing....can not hide it ,,,trust me it will show..but shooting from the hip is cool ,or just winging it is a blast ...no set list ,they call out a tune or band we play it,, or wing it the best we can ...a blast ,,and hey thanks for your reply .thought there would be more but no bites ...lol........lp57
