It has maple b/s with a sitica top and a mahogany neck. I play classic rock and blues with a bit of fingerstyle. So far, with every string I've tried the guitar only sounded good for fingerstyle work. Since I put flat top med. on the guitar, it now sounds good for fingerstyle, blues and classic rock. It sounds like a new guitar to me. I love the sound I get from flat tops. I've found my favourite string. Just wanted to let you know.
