I use a 4 string Fender American Jazz for this. I had to file out the nut a little bit 'cause of the gauges I use. <br><br>I know 1.45 is the highest gauge D'addario makes for bass strings so I will stick with that for my low A, but as far as the other strings go what gauge do you suggest I use for each string? The tuning i'm in goes from A,E,A,D Respectively. Any info on how I can tell what gauge string would work best with whatever tuning i'm in would help. It's a 34" scale length.
