There are tons of other musical genres that have killer violin playing. Check out some bluegrass music, jazz, and some other Avant Garde genres that might bring a little life back to your interest in violin. Here are a few examples of what I am talking about:

The Section Quartet- These guys(and gals) play rock music and other "non-classical" music as a string quartet. Some cool arrangements of songs from Radiohead, Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, and more. The entire group uses D'Addario strings!

The Dixie Dregs - Amazing musicians! A jazzy-fusion vibe with plenty of violin (fiddle) playing.

Jean Luc Ponty - Jean has a similar style as the Dregs, and has played with greats such a Frank Zappa.

Del McCoury - Del McCoury has been around for ever! He's a guitarist and singer himself, but has always played with other amazing musicians, and fiddle players. Jason Carter has been in his band for a while, and is an amazing fiddle player! He's a D'Addario guy as well (as are the rest of the group!). This is fun stuff!

Check it out, and enjoy! Playing violin doesn't need to only relate to classical music! Keep playing!

motivation

i need help.... i play the violin, i always wanted to when i was around 3 year old.
