First off, please be advise that you posted in the Woodwind Chat forum!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Kevlar is the strongest material that drumheads are made with.  Maybe you should get into playing steel drums &lt;img src='images/emotions/w00t.gif' height='20' width='20' border='0' title='w00t' align='absmiddle'&gt;  You must be hitting extremely hard (perhaps a bit harder than you need to!)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;What type of heads are you using? I was playing at show where I lived and the drumhead broke, and its made of kevlar. I use thick, long heavy sticks, and i'm in a hard rock band. My tone is usually bright to warm. At this point, I just really need to know if there is anything out there.
