Since then I'm aware of the considerable pressure playing exerts on the two top teeth that rest against my mouthpiece.

It's not painful - but I have a concern about loosening the crowns. Has anyone had experience along this line or heard of someone dealing with it? Or a dentist's opinion? My dentist doesn't play the sax & I"m not sure how helpful he would be. I'm wondering if adding a rubber cushion to the top of the mouthpiece would help without compromising my playing.

Any thoughts????

thanks!~
