paul ,way freaking cool dude :w00t::cool:.like those old chuck taylor sneaks :D:):)...way cool .man those were the **** back in my day .plus have to look over the other stuff as well .need some new gear as well..thanks for the hook up .and hey if i use your name ,get any free be;s??????? or at least put in good word for me .....lol....;) thanks for clearing up the mars music thing as well....we did have a shop here that was one of those mom pop shops that sold some good music stuff.......any hey welcome here to our forum ,good place to be .alot of good folk here ,hope you hang out ..nice to know we have some one else here that can hook us up with our love ,music ....do ya play????in a band ???/if so tell us little about your self ....chuck lp57

Hi, no not the same.. I'm in the UK and am a relative newcomer.

I know there was a Mars Music that went under recently, bought out by Musician's Friend... "Mars Music's bankruptcy is your gain! Musician's Friend has stepped in..." (not exactly subtle, MF!)

In the UK wholesalers will only sell to retailers who have a [b]physical[/b] shop - i.e. a high street retail premises - they do not recognise internet-only retailers. Do PW/D'addario support this position... and is it the same in the US? I've heard that in the US wholesalers will supply any retailer, regardless of whether or not they have a walk-in store.
