A separate forum for instrument/signal/speaker cables, and cable-related stuff would be good.

That would allow the Guitar Gear forum to focus on straps, tuners, amps, effects, guitars, pedalboards, picks, etc.

Questions regarding cable-related stuff have been about as high as string-related stuff, so cables could earn themselves their own dedicated forum.

It would also add more constructive traffic on the forums, if the Backstage Banter forum were removed. Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestion! We created the Gear forum for cables and other gear discussions. I could see us creating a forum dedicated to cables in the future, but feel that the traffic needs to increase to warrant adding another forum. It has been quite quiet of late, and I don't see the need right now. Are you referring to instrument/mic/speaker cables etc., or other more nichey products like those used in our Planet Waves Custom Installation line of products. We do have the CI forum available, but we'rew just trying to get that started. Thanks again! Let's see if we can get this place moving again...

How about getting rid of the Backstage Banter forum in order to create a forum dedicated to cables. It would be a much more constructive use of the D'Addario forum resources. Simply getting rid of the Backstage Banter forum would do a world of good for the forums!

Would it be possible to add a separate forum for cable-related discussions? There seems to be an equal number of cable-related topics as there are string-related topics, and strings have their own forum. This would add a bit more organization to the Guitar Talk section, and would make things easier to use and topics easier to find. Thanks! :)
