This is a futile question. Every drummer listed is excellent in their element. Some a more versitile than others and part of playing at that level means knowing your strengths and weaknesses then going with your best. If your talking about complexity you have Neil Peart and John Bonham, if you're talking force and speed you have a whole list of others. But there are also a list of pioneers that came long before everyone on the list. If you look at things Buddy Rich was doing, you can see many of the techniques in use today. AND HE DID IT IN A SUIT! Now, I am not saying Buddy was the best ever... and I know that the question is about the best ROCK drummer, but you can't look to the present without looking at the past and where it all came from.

I'm just wondering who you think is the best rock drummer!

For me it's Eric Singer with Alice Cooper. Eric has the showmanship and mindset of the great swing and Big band drummers, but the sounds of Heavy Metal and he's just fun to watch....Easier said than done!
