Joe was a Territorial Policeman in Alaska in the Fifties back before it was a state. He was also my father-in-law. We were fishing buddies and I got to know him on those long drives up to the fishing hole in the Mt. Hood National Forest. He used to regale me with yarns about his days in Anchorage, Fairbanks and especially Ketchikan. To his dying day, he spoke wistfully about the best times of his life and the cruel turn of events that cut short his Alaska Police career.
You can hear the song here:

http://www.folkalley.com/openmic/song.php?id=1541

It's on iTunes and on CD Baby
Dennis Doyle
