| | Hi i have heard of reeds that arnt made of reed or sumthin i think there plastic i was wondering if anyone has used them and do u have an opinion r they gd or not? Cheers |

| There's a couple that could fit your description.
First there's plasticovers which are plastic coated reeds, I've used these (and are my main reed for Bari Sax). They have a hard edged sound to them, and last quite a while.
Then there's synthetic reeds, ranging from Bari to Legere to others. I've used Legeres and they are very transparent, but don't really sound like reeds in my opinion. They can also be odd to play on becuase they have a lot less resistance than regular reeds.
