I've been using size 3 Rico Royal Reeds and they have been working pretty well. I'm using a Jupiter Artist Series Saxophone with a Selmer C* mouthpiece. Is there any other reed that would work better with my instrument?

Jason

Hi Jason,

If you're already playing a #3 Rico Royal, you may want to try a #3 Grand Concert Select Alto Sax reed. The Grand Concert Select uses our premium cane and has a slightly darker sound. They also project well.

You may also want to try the GCS H-series ligature. This is based on the old Harrison ligature and really frees up the vibrations. Check out this link for more info: http://www.ricoreeds.com/productdetails.aspx?productCategoryName=Accessories&productID=4074

Let us know how they work out.

Thanks,

Rico Administrator
