Hello,

I am just wondering if there are any drumheads out there for my 12inch tom. I was playing at show where I lived and the drumhead broke, and its made of kevlar. I use thick, long heavy sticks, and i'm in a hard rock band. My tone is usually bright to warm. At this point, I just really need to know if there is anything out there. Your advice and taking time to read this is much appreciated.

Thank you

Welcome.  First off, please be advise that you posted in the Woodwind Chat forum!

Kevlar is the strongest material that drumheads are made with.  Maybe you should get into playing steel drums   You must be hitting extremely hard (perhaps a bit harder than you need to!)

What type of heads are you using?  Who makes kevlar tom heads?
