While using the lavoz reeds, I notice that I outblow the med soft, but don't blow hard enough for the mediums.  Any suggestions?

Hello, you could start with the harder reeds and break them in slowly.  Understanding that the first few times you play them they will be too hard, but after a few days of light playing on the reeds for 2-3 minutes, they will be a little softer and might play better and last longer.
