| I've considered establishing a community drum circle and inviting anyone whom may be interested. I first started hearing about drum circles in other nooks of the world about 10 years ago but have yet to participate in one. It's just a grass roots effort. I've put up flyers in local music stores and our college campus. I have some ideas on how to get it started, but it may be a challenged to keep people interested over time. I'm just checking to see af any around DrumTalk has past experiences I build on. I would love to hear your stories, good or bad , chance ~square

| i've been to the local drum circle a couple of times, but it has been infiltrated with ***-clowns who think that the tempo must always speed up. i guess WFD also stands for World's Fastest Djembe.
anyway...have you cantacted Arthur Hull? www.drumcircle.com
i got to spend some time with him at a local drum thang last summer. he's a great guy and always helpful.

| Don't do it! Drum circles are for granola eatin', petrouli smellin', patchwork pants wearin' hippies. The only thing more obnoxious than a drum circle is a guy playing buckets. |

| but they never play for the song.
So, when it's dark and you're driving past a church, the "Worship 11am" sign looks like "Worship Ham" |

| I'm fine with not knowing the spelling. The bucket guy on Newbury St. in Boston has been playing the same beat for at least three years, I have to listen to him every day at work. The sound of sticks on buckets is a death song. |

| You hit it right on the head. My exact sentiments. Next thing you know, they'll be hitting you up for some donut money and drinking your beer. Phucking musk wearing, flower power, tie died, hipster dumpster divers. Especially the ones with buckets.
