| I play a digeridoo, and am wanting to use an electric pickup with it. A pickup from an upright bass fiddle has been recommended, but I wondered if a pickup designed for wind instruments might be better. Has anyone installed a pickup on a bassoon?

| | I'm sorry that no one here at the moment seems to have experience miking a bassoon. I did go see Xavier Rudd recently and he mics his dijeridus, but I didn't get a good look at them. He's pretty wild if you have never seen him before. He plays acoustic, lap steel, sings, plays percussion and throws in a little dijeridu for good measure. He's a D'Addario endorsee too! | | Thanks! I enjoyed the video a lot! That dude is really cool! I might try an upright bass pick-up, if I can find one at a decent price. I'm hoping to run it through some effects processing for some insanity.  I want to be an endorser of D'Addario and Planet Waves products, too!

| | Brian Ritchie (Violent Femmes) plays dijeridoo but I'm not sure how he sends the signal to the board. Maybe you could go to their site and contact him about it. If I see him, I'll ask about it since we both live in the Milwaukee area. |

| Which brand and model pickup did you use on the rainstick? I'm wondering if one of L.R. Baggs' piezo pickups would work well...
