| | I've been using Eb tuning for years. I told you that when we met 2 years ago, and explained why it was good easier for the vocal, all you have to do is put a capo on the first fret to be in standard tuning, etc. Just another example of where in your eyes I know nothing. Just ask Jessica Simpson she sings in Eb tuning:

| [b] Just ask Jessica Simpson she sings in Eb tuning: Regrettably, her band plays in standard E.

| She sings? Far out. What a multi-talented young lady! It's hard to believe that tuning one fret down makes that much difference, but it sure does. some horn players like it when you tune down too - usually puts them in a better key on their instruments. Keyboard players, on the other hand, are of mixed opinion. If their keyboard will transpose, they're fine - if not, they get kinda pouty & generally quite pissed off about it. I also wouldn't suggest tuning down for a pick-up gig, or an open mic as I saw a band do last week. Anyone that brought their own axe had to retune or sit out. Anyone who didn't and asked to use the house gear got growled at for not bringing their own! SG
Hey - Where are we going? And why am I in this handbasket? |

| | Pitch correction - you can do it with most home recording software. I'm sure there's something similar for live use. In that vein, there's a great simpsons episode where, thanks to "studio magic," milhouse is able to sing like barry white.
