I was just cleaning out my gear closet and found a good chunk of Players Points. I also have a good stock of unused D'Addarios right now, so I'll have a good little stash soon.

As far as ideas for the rewards program, I would really love to see some equipment/accessory type stuff offered....nothing major, maybe a 12 pack of D'Addario logo picks, those Planet Waves string cutter/winder tools, logo polishing cloths, etc.

That is the kind of stuff that I use a lot, and I think would be attractive reward items.  I don't pretend to know business costs, but I have to imagine those types of things are low enough in price that it would be easy to figure out a corresponding point value.

I was cleaning out my shop today and decided to empty the bucket-o-points, and came up roughly around 2100-2300. Before I go blow it on a dozen stools, aprons, pile of pens, T-shirts, glasses and bags, I'm wondering if there is anything else notable coming in the foreseeable future. If any administrators are free to share any plans or inside info on significant future reward products, I'd love to know. Hold or fold?

And I'd also like to know the height of the stool currently available. I'd love to see something in the 28"-30" range, but I'm guessing these are a tad bit shorter.

Also, do I have to send the complete string packages in? These boxes will probably cost half as much in shipping on the way there as the products will on the way back.

Thanks much for any info

Nice!  The guitar stool is back!  This is the same 24" stool that was mentioned in this thread:
http://www.daddario.com/Discuss/Topic28150-4-1.aspx

Here's the FAQ for Players Points:
http://www.daddariostrings.com/DADSupport.aspx?ID=1

Here's the answer to your specific question:

For strings, please send the full packaging, displaying the point value, but for Evans and Planet Waves, the point values themsleves can be cut from the packaging and returned to us.

I like the wooden pen! The beanie hat looks nice also. I'll have to check my points status now that the section has been updated. Hopefully I'll get all the Planet Waves stuff I asked for xmas and get more points! The new stool is as always a marvelous item. I wish I had enough points for that but doubt I'll ever will!

If you switch over to all Planet Waves cables and do a lot of crazy signal routing like I do, you'll rack up quite a few points rather quickly.  The cables last forever, though; so once you buy them, you won't need to buy any more.  As a result, my collection of points isn't growing too well anymore.  LOL

I was hoping someone from the D'Addario staff would chime in to hint whether there were any big additions coming to the point products soon.

I want to get rid of these things, but I hate to blow 2100+ points on a bunch of little stuff, only to see something really big and cool come up while I'm waiting for my stools and T-shirts to arrive.

Maybe I'll give it another week, but I'd love some hint as to future toys before I decide whether to cash them in or hold on to them.
