Also, I've found that most straps that I've owned tend to slip down while playing, so I peridically have to readjust the strap to keep the horn in proper position. Do your straps have some sort of non-slip mechanism? I've often thought that a 'belt-buckle' type of strap would be completely slip-proof but none seem to be available.

The point is my trusty neck strap never slips as iit always at the right length for           me without any adjustment.  It is by now well marked for me.  If one of my kids use it and change the length, I can easily and quickly change it back to my correct length.
