| I received my tru-strobe yesterday and there are some things that I don't understand...
1. It keeps flashing the letter "L" a lot. It does this some times when there is no note being played, but it also does it a lot when I am trying to tune. It seems to loose the note I am playing.
2. Sometimes it gets into a mode where the leds in the display go around at a constant rate no matter what note I am playing. The letter in the middle changes when I play a different string, but the circle of leds don't change. It can get stuck like this for some time, then it starts that flashing "L" thing again, then it starts working.
3. Is there any way to disable the auto-power off feature? I would like to leave it on all the time but it keeps shutting off.
4. The picture on the box and on the demo on your website shows it with blue leds. The leds on mine are red. Are there different models of this tuner? |

| Are you using the battery that was shipped with it? I wonder if the "L" means low battery? That would explain most of your problems if the battery was going dead. Try a fresh one. Actually, using the AC adapter that came with it would be your best bet. Have you used that, or just the 9-volt battery? The Tru-Strobe should have blue LEDs. Which one of these looks like your tuner?: http://www.planetwavestuners.com/

| Was it supposed to come with an AC adapter? Mine didn't.
I did replace the battery, and that fixed the flashing "L" problem. I also took the time to read the instructions and found they talked about the "L" there too.
Anybody know what the expected battery life is? I didn't have it on for more than an hour or two before it started doing this. |

| | The Tru-Strobe is supposed to come with an AC adapter, and it has blue LED lights. Are you positive that your retailer didn't ship you the wrong item? I'm not sure what the expected battery life is. Generally, the batteries that are shipped with any electronic device don't have much of an operating life. After you put in a new 9-volt battery, have you been able to see how long a fresh battery lasts?

| Its model number PW-CT-07. The box says Tru-Strobe(tm) and has a picture of it with blue lights. There was no AC adapter in the box, nor was there room for one in the box.
Is there another model that comes with an adapter and has blue lights? |

| That's the right model number. Your tuner looks just like this one?: http://www.planetwavestuners.com/index.php?option=com_tuner&task=tunerdetailpage&id=16From which retailer did you purchase this?

Yes, that's what it looks like. It was purchased from Same Day Music.
Do you work for Planet Waves? |

| | I don't work for Planet Waves or D'Addario. I just love their products, and like to help out fellow musicians. This is a link where you can contact Planet Waves directly: http://www.planet-waves.com/ContactUs.aspx If you have problems with a product, there's this form: http://www.planet-waves.com/FaqSolution.aspx?id=50130000000KFFKAA4 Same Day Music is a good retailer, and they were one of the first to get this product in stock. Perhaps the first batch shipped out was slightly different, or there was some sort of redesign to this product? I'm not sure. It's so new that Same Day Music doesn't even have a product photo yet: http://www.samedaymusic.com/product--PTWPWCT07
