| The red Douglas doesn't look too bad. You don't really need the switches to get the Macca sound just solo the neck pup which is what he did anyway. The Douglas is like an Epiphone Viola copy for $145.00 how bad could it be?

| | Be sure to put flatwounds on it, with rounds it sounds like crap. LaBella makes strings especially for the beatle bass. {Don't cut them}. If you want to use another brand, you have to get medium scale strings. Shorts won't fit.
