Flamenco cajon workshop by Albert Vila Rate Topic Display Mode Topic Options Author Message avila Posted 10/6/2007 2:10 AM Forum Newbie Group: Forum Members Last Login: 10/9/2007 11:57 AM Posts: 1, Visits: 4 Day: Saturday 20th of October 2007 Location: The Planet Drum, London Schedule: 10 to 2 pm Fee: 30 pounds This workshop will cover cajon techniques, contemporary flamenco styles (rumba, tango, tanguillos, alegrías, bulerías and seguiriyas) and practical applications to other instruments and contemporary styles. All levels and other instrumentalists other than percussionists are welcomed. Albert Vila holds a Bachelor Degree at Berklee College of Music (Boston) and has worked with Modern Romance and top spanish band Estopa among many others. As a teacher he has created the percussion curriculum at Conservatori Superior del Liceu de Barcelona. He is currently a Duende Percusión endorsee.
