| I remember in an old post that Billy Shears was looking for a decent banjo. Musician's Friend has a decent on on their Stupid deal of the day, so I thought I'd post about it for him:
Musician's Friend Stupid Deal of the DayIt's a Rogue B-30 Banjo for $100, instead of $150. Nothing too fancy, but it's great for beginners!

| | Thanks Dulch but I already made the move on the guitar. I got the amp today and tommorrow the rest is coming. I thought before deciding and I was torn between acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and the Banjo. I wound up deciding on electric guitar. Got a Vintage Modified Tele instead of a Strat though. I love Telecasters and I couldn't resist. If it makes you happy, I still want a Banjo and a Strat too.  If and when I go with a Banjo, it will probably be a Deering. I can't be gettin a Korean or Mexican Banjo! It's got to be 100% U.S. of A made! Then it's a real Banjo. Getting a Banjo thats not made in America would be like getting a Balilika made in Pittsburg!

| | Sounds good! Your electric guitar rig looks sweet, so I think you made an awesome choice! I've wanted a banjo for years, and have had my eye on Deering. That's one of the top brands amongst the national-touring bluegrass bands and artists that I'm friends with. There's something about Fender banjos which draws me, though. I tend to like anything Fender! (Except for Freddie)

| | Freddie Fender used to sing a bit of country music, I think. However, he wasn't a country music artist. I guess I don't really know. When I was a kid, I could get Freddie Fender and Freddie Mercury mixed up...
