| | Hi everyone!!! I have got a need, and my need is to get a custom gauge strings for mine ˝drop C˝tuning: C-G-c-f-a-d´(the same tuning is used by "System Of A Down"). Thanks to d´Addario´s string tension guide, I have calculated the right gauge for my desire tension comparing it with 9-46 sets on standard E-A-d-g-b-e´ tuning, and to get it I would need this gauge: (top to the bottom) 59-42-30-19-13-11 So I wonder where could I get this particular string set from without spending a fortune, or if anybody could guide me where could I order this strings as singles from? Thanks in advance!!! p.s. www.fatherband.com www.myspace.com/fatherband
Where and how can I get a custom gauge for mine tuning:
6C - 5G - 4c - 3f - 2a - 1d´
(59 - 42 - 30 - 19 - 13 - 11) ?????? |

| | yeah, you have a the same question like me. I drop my strings like you, 6C-5G-4C-3F-2A-1D, but I don't know how to chose the Daddario strings. I used 11-46 but that's not ok. If anybody know, plz help me chose the right strings. Thanx a lot! ^__^

| | Hi there guys, I use on my acoustic for drop C, I use the following string gauges (11, 15 ,22, 32, 42, 54) which seem to work fine. So if daddario have a version for electric (11 -52) and get a single 54 string to replace the 52 is my advice, for acoustic use the EJ26's with a single 54 string to replace the 52 hope this helps. |

| usually you just use normal strings. might be better to use a heavy gauge for low tunings. in the way that bass has really thick strings. id suggest maybe 12's,14's (if such exists), or 16's
