Hello,

I bought the electric guitar RG1820 X GK prestige from Ibanez. I am living in Brazil. The relative humidity in the room where I keep my guitar varies between 50 and 80 % during the year, because of the weather.

Please, I would like to ask you the following questions:

- what should be the suitable relative humidity of the room where I keep this guitar?

- what should be the best suitable device for keeping this ideal humidity for my guitar?

Sincerely,

Jean

Welcome to the forums!

You might want to run a dehumidifier in that room, as that could control the humidity quite well.  Keeping it steady at 50% or so should be fine, I believe.

Hopefully some long-time axe players will help to weigh in here as well...
