Hi, i just bought the planet wave pw-gs-10 cable today. I'm using an ibanez SDGR 4 string and a small 15w practice amp. The problem i experienced with the cable is that when i plug it into my amp all the way there is no signal, but if i just pull it out a tiny bit, just before the springs show, it works perfectly! Are there some compatibility issues with cheap amps? Is it defect?

Thanks for your time

That's perfectly normal.  The PW-GS-10 is a stereo cable, so you need to plug it in only halfway in order to accommodate your mono jacks.

In hindsight, you should've bought the PW-G-10, which is the mono version of that cable.  Your music shop should let you bring the stereo cable back and swap it for the mono cable, as the mono cable would serve you much better.

Are you also having this problem with this stereo cable going into your guitar's jack?  If not, perhaps the Ibanez guitar has a stereo output jack.  I'm not familiar with Ibanez axes.

Another solution would be to grab the PW-P047P 1/4" Male Mono to 1/4" Female Stereo adapter:
