| | Somebody help me out here. I got a chance to pick up a second kit for real cheap. A Mapex Pro-M 5-piece in fusion sizes, black lacquer finish, and a set of Zildjian cymbals thrown in (13" Quick Beat hats, and I believe ZXT 16" crash and 20" ride). Mapex hardware and a Tama throne included. All heads are Evans. Looks like the perfect little giging kit. Whole set up probably went for ~$1500 brand new, the local seller only wants $450. What should I do?

| | Dude buy it if you can afford it. I thinned out one of my older practice kits (yamaha stage customs)and sold it for 450. no cymbals one cymbal stand, and an intruder 2 bass pedal. He is offering alot of extras, for basically nothing. At the very least if you ever get stuck in a bad spot financially you could liquidate these pretty quick and not lose any money...in fact you'd probably make some. Just my 2 cents

| | Mapex makes a decent set, and you can find add ons pretty easily. Sounds like you've found the hook up |

| | 450 is pretty close to what a used pro M 5-piece should go for if they are in good shape. The 13" quick beats are really hot right now, so you could sell them for around 150. Figure in close to a C note for the two other crappy cymbals, and you get nice set of thin maple shelled drums for around 200 bucks. That is the finish I would want with that Mapex kit. There are a bunch of those kits floating around in fade finishes that look like sh!t. |

| | Face it, you know you want it. Dont be so co-dependent, get the kit quickly. Years ago i owned a Mapex Mars pro kit in blue burst. It sounded and looked great. If i told you what i traded for it id be ostrisized from the forum. You wont be disappointed. |

| | DoubleK, did you ever pick this kit up?. Im considering one on ebay for a beater kit. Its used and priced right!. Are you ok with the kit if you did happen to grab it?. Its either this Krispy or a Ludwig Accent cs custom birch kit in purple sparkle. |
