Yes he is!
I'm always amazed at how well Ringo Starr copied Bernhard when the Beatles played live.

Wow! It's really impressive. So many classic tunes he was a part of.
Beach Boys to Sinatra.
Yep...Most people don't realize that they are listening to Hal Blaine instead of Dennis Wilson, Karen Carpenter etc.
That list is only songs that cracked the top ten. Think of the hundreds if not thousands of other top 40 songs he played on that never cracked the top 10. |

| | I remember years ago, i mean YEARS ago listening to a tune by Jerry Lee Lewis titled Rockin my life away. It was a simple tune yet the drums really stood out and drove that song into the ground!. I later found out that it was Hal Blaine. Right then and there i could tell that this guy was a BAD MOTHER. |

What beatles stuff did he do ET? You mean studio recordings for the Beatles? He did some Beatle tunes with Aretha Franklin but I'm not sure with the Beatles.
I was only being sarcastic.
I don't believe that Purdy did any Beatles stuff at all. But he claims he did. It's been a long time claim Purdy continues to state that Ringo needed his drumtracks to be re-recorded because they were not "good enough." So, Bernhard claims he was called in to replace the original Ringo drum tracks. My comment was really to show that Ringo sounds like Ringo, whether it's on the recordings or when you see the live Beatle stuff.
