The Frontman is designed more as a guitar amp so I'd be wondering if the speaker would handle the bass' frequencies without breakup and/or failure after prolonged use.

If you are looking for a small apartment/bedroom/practice type amp you might want to look into the PEAVEY MicroBass. Our bass player has one at home & loves it to death.

20 Watts RMS
DDT® compression
8 inch speaker
Gain control
Low, mid, high EQ controls
Headphone jack
14.50" H x 13.00" W x 9.00" D - 20.30 lbs
PEAVEY MicroBass

Another even smaller option they have is the Max® 126

10 Watts RMS
6.5 inch speaker
Selectable "Vintage" Gain control with patented TransTube® circuitry
Volume control
Low and High EQ controls
Tape/CD jack
Headphone jack
11.75" H x 11.25" W x 6.88" D - 11.00 lbs
PEAVEY Max® 126

The Micro bass is good.  Get the Minx however because it has a 10 inch speaker instead of a 8 and it packs 35 watts which makes a good acoustic or coffee house amp.

The Hammer.

VENI, VIDI, VICI.

Underestimate No One.
