It went well, these guys are a great bunch. But Bigger News we( new band) got together yesterday for the first time and got set up & started practicing. We had 12 songs down pat within 3 1/2 hours, and went to our local open jam as a band. We played a set and brought the place down, it was truly amazing. We are still trying to come up with a name...........

Soulman,

Cool name bro'. I think if I give everyone an idea of what we will be playing may help. While we are a "blues band" at heart we will be playing R&B, funk, light jazz/fusion, and cross cultural (ala Santana) style. So I'm not so sure that I/we want to have "blues" in the name.

You said it. If you are blues based why not Wolfpack Blues band. Just because you got blues in your name doesn't mean you can't play other types of music. Lets face it, Rock, fusion, funk, r&b, all came from the blues.  My favorite is John Lee Hooker. Another name you might consider is WolfHook.  Half Howlin Wolf, half John Lee Hooker.
