| M'kay, I was at a friend's house last night (Yeah, believe it or not, I got SUM!), and as he was showing me his studio, I noticed a drum kit in the corner. He said it was given to him, and upon inspection, it was a Tama Fibrestar, which I never heard of. What are these, what are they made of, when did they stop making these, yadda yadda yadda...... |

| I'm certain that those drums were made out of fibre. When you play them too much you really start throwing stool, which is why tama made a commode throne. For a few extra bucks you could get the french one that cleans your slop gulch with a jet of refreshing water. |

| Oh, no question about it, I'm slacking big time Yeah, I'm sure they're made of Fiberglass (I isn't THAT stoopid), it's just that, I never even heard of this line. |

| The Fibrestar line was manufactured, as far as I know, up until about 1989; up until that time Pearl was also producing a similar product. Pretty good gear, as I remember it, though the shells were comparatively thick and used a wrapped finish rather than the gelcoat finish which I use.
How do your friend's drums sound?
Cheers,
