| I bought a new Takamine G series in August 2004 and about 3 days ago I noticed the 4th fret on the high E was buzzing. Now I can't get any notes at all out of the 3rd or 4th fret, it got progessively worse over a couple of days. What can I do to fix this or should I complain to the store, I am at a loss, someone who knows acoustic guitars and how to fix them properly please help! |

| Before you do anything, see what the store will do for you. I don't know what Takamine's warranty policy is, but with your guitar being less than a year old, there's a good chance you may be covered. It's hard to diagnose without seeing it, but one possibility is that your 5th fret may be coming unseated. Take a good look at it - does it look like it's lifting up from the board? I hope they're able to help. SG
Hey - Where are we going? And why am I in this handbasket? |

| Bring it back, and tell them you are deeply dissatisfied with the axe and it's the worst piece of junk you ever played. They might exchange it for you. Your neck could have moved or your strings are shot. Try new strings. Don't get stainless however because the shop may blame the steel strings for the fret wear if that is the problem.
