| Folks, as some of you may remember, I have an Epiphone Zephyr Blues Deluxe which is beautiful and I love it, but the case that came with it isn't really up to the job, in particular, the edges don't quite meet up so when it rains there are often droplets of water on the guitar. Which is unacceptable as I'm sure you all know. What I need is a new hard case that is waterproof (at least to a certain degree). As I'll be investing, I reckon I want a heavy duty one that can stand a bit of abuse, but without the heavy (I do carry it around a lot)! Does anyone have any recommendations for hard cases that might fit the bill? Thanks guys, so great to be back on here! Anton

| Good quality cases are essential in order to keep your guitar properly protected. This would be a good place to start. http://www.cedarcreekcases.com/
Its all about the tone. |

| | Just had an idea. You could have a seamstress sew up a case cover for your guitar case just like an amp cover. |

| Esper, I'd had that thought too, but I'd rather not mess around with that, plus I could do with a better case anyway, so I just wondered if people had heard of anything that fitted the bill. Bludave, cheers, looks like the site's under construction, but I'll keep the name in mind. Also, a music shop near me suggested Hiscox cases, anyone had any experiences with them? Cheers guys, so good to be back online ain't it? Anton

| | Look like some very nice cases. Would still let the rain in though. |

| Really? The main problem at the moment is the Epiphone case doesn't shut quite properly, so there's actually a gap that lets water in and onto my guitar, these Hiscox ones don't look like that'll happen at all. But I take your point that I'm not going to get a water-tight one, thanks for not letting me get my hopes up! Anton

| One of those coffin cases are good but kind of $$$, A high end SKB would suffice. A lightweight hardshell is kind of an oxymoron though. Might I suggest a good quality molded case, Via SKB.
