| im shopping for my next axe from santa. i usually try to buy something different from what i already have. for example i got a cs336-61sg ri- lp std rather than 2 or 3 diff lp's so on to my question: i currently own two fenders . a strat and a tele. and ive been looking at the G&L axes. some real nice ones. but im confused as to whether they are really two diff axes or not. if leo fender designed and built both whats the deal? is the G&L an upgrade to the fender. am i like looking at epi vs gibson? any opinions here would be appreciated. any G&L owners out there?//o-o\\ |

| Leo made improvements to his original Fender line when he started G&L after he sold Music Man to Ernie Ball. There are two lines G&L and tribute. The Tribute line is done in Korea with CNCs. They use all the same components as the USA made versions. I owned a Tribute S-500 which I would compare to any American standard Strat I have, and the Tribute is better. The only issue I had was the thinness of the neck on the Tribute line. The USA G&L line can be built with any style neck you want. Here is a clip from my CD the lead track is done with my G&L http://www.blzman.com/downloads/ParadiseIsle.mp3

| Hey guys, Some trivia for you. Though Leo designed guitars and amps, he could not play a note by his own admission.

| Harry, I remember reading that somewhere also. Leo's "office" his work area at G&L is exactly as it was the day Leo died. They have more or less "enshrined" it. Also Mrs. Leo Fender is the CEO of G&L, I believe.

| yeah i see in the info on G&L that they include some kinda authent certif that she signs with the purchase of a new G&L so im startin to think that if i choose a G&L i wont end up owning 2 strats or 2 teles. you agree? |

| One of our bass players had a G&L something-or-other and it was the most beautiful sounding bass I've played/heard. I know you're after a guitar, but on the basis (no pun...) of this instrument and the reviews I've seen of others, I would trust G&L every step of the way. Anton

| Rich, Dave at Guitar Adoptions is a personal friend of mine. we started out as a customer/store owner relationship 2 1/2 years ago. I can attest for him completely, you won't get a better deal on a G & L anywhere. I would be happy to offer my assistance in anyway I can, and please feel free to mention my name if you contact him. When you go to his site go to the "About Me" area, the backing track for the video h |
