About Thurston Moore

As co-founder of Sonic Youth, Thurston Moore helped shape the sound of alternative music in the ‘80s and ‘90s. Blending punk energy with avant-garde guitar stylings and unique noise experimentation, his work has influenced generations of artists across a broad range of genres. Moore has remained a prolific creative ever since, not only as a member of Sonic Youth, but also through solo albums, collabs, and experimental projects. Beyond music, Moore is an outspoken advocate for the arts and independent publishing, founding Ecstatic Peace Library & The Daydream Library Series independent record label with partner Eva Prinz.
