About Yung-Ho Fu
The principal double bass of the National Symphony Orchestra and a renowned educator and arranger.
Yung-Ho Fu is the principal double bass of Taiwan’s National Symphony Orchestra, a position he has held for over 34 years. A dedicated educator, he is an associate professor at National Taipei University of the Arts and Shih Chien University and the founder of Lan Yang International Double Bass Summer Camp. He studied at the National Academy of Arts, National Taipei University of the Arts, and the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, where he earned the Premier Prix. Fu has performed worldwide, given masterclasses at top conservatories, and judged international competitions. His transcription of Bach’s Six Suites for Double Bass Solo won the 2019 Golden Melody Award for Best Classical Album.
