Like XL but smoother and longer lasting. Worth the cost difference for how long they last.

D'Addario user since around 1987 and though I primarily used the standard XL120s, the XS option takes them to the next level in life expectancy, but also a better feel - not drastic, just smoother. I've used them on 3 different guitars and they hold up on each one (Strat, Revstar and Godin LP90). Definitely worth the extra money for extended life.

I use these on my charvel guitar. They work great.

Very high quality materials, long lasting, durable with amazing tone and frequency response.

Not as long lasting, or stable tuning as NYXL. Nor as bright, which I like.

These are my preferred strings. long lasting, a I like the feel.

These have been a serious upgrade to my workflow. D’addario quality and tone, and way less string changes that actually do save time & money -both of which you all know are critical to a full time musician. There’s a lot of other things to tend to besides maintenance. I put them on all of my electrics so that there’s consistency across the different instruments yet their individual characters come out - which is why you change intstruments in the first place usually. I’m just a working guy trying to keep working - but I’m sold on them.

If you've not tried these strings then you are missing out on getting the best sounds from your guitar and playing. Very well made with a great sound
